Ayrton Senna Racing Karts Video Page

Here is some magic footage of Senna karting in 1979. Our man Jeff Gray at retro karting tells us Senna is on a DAP Kart Chassis (which Jeff has a replica of and is almost ready to display it). Also, the chap putting his kart on two wheels is British kart racing legend Terry Fullerton.

If you look closely at the slow of Senna sliding round a corner, you can see his throttle technique where he is off and on the throttle quickly during the corner... Be patient, the karting footage starts at about 45 seconds into the film
