TonyKart, Haase, and CRG to make TKM Chassis!

By Karting1 ~ November 15th, 2006. Filed under: Kart Racing News.

From 2007 TKM will allow European manufacturers to make chassis for the once exclusively British kart class.

TonyKart, CRG, and Haase have put there names to the Formula TKM class next year with new chassis. However it looks as if the Italian manufacturers are merely putting their names and machines to making chassis designed by current British manufacturers. TonyKart is rumoured to be the new Venom chassis, and the CRG TKM chassis the new Tal-Ko chassis.

Even though there may be heavy British influence in these chassis, it is certain the grid next year should have a strong European style, which can only be good for the class’s image.

Some pictures should be available soon, and hopefully we’ll get a test with one of the chassis to tell if it’s any good.

[...] Changes to the ailing UK TKM class in 2007 include allowing foreign manufacturers for the first time, and Alan Dove says that Tonykart, CRG and Haase will be entering the class. However, it’s likely that they are just licensing deals with existing British manufacturers. the tony kart is actually a kosmic based chassis. t11 based so there isnt much input from venom there. there is also another european kart to be released but no details will be out until after the inspections in late november. venom are also re-homologating the sidewinder with a brake system mounted on the top like the current jkh and the engine stop bolt is being moved(big changes there then). Defo the chassis to beat is the jkh, i believe most will make a time comparison to this years jkh. Cant wait for the next few months anyways, gona be minted!!!
