By Karting1 ~ August 19th, 2009. Filed under: Kart Racing News.

Press release: 19th August 2009:

Exciting news of the next RX250 Challenge event has just been announced, the full fleet of brand new Sodi RX250 karts will be making their way to Rowrah for the race series’ biggest event to date. The RX250 Challenge goes from strength to strength and the friendly atmosphere and fantastic karts make this a winning formula for any budding driver!

The format for the 20th September includes a gruelling 3 hour endurance race which has been confirmed at a very reasonable cost of just £300 per team, including a 15 minute timed qualifying session. Sprint Races are also taking place which follow the popular format of a 10 minute qualifying session and two 15 minute heat races.

Practice sessions are available from just £20 and will be open for all competent drivers (over the age of 16) to experience the power and control of the new Sodi RX250 karts. Practice sessions last 15 minutes and will be running from 9am to 11.00am.

The new series which is shaking up arrive and drive style racing offers extremely competitive, safe and fun racing on the identical karts. Congratulations to the winner of the last round in August at PFi, Jamie Garvie who drove a fantastic race which saw the lead place change hands no less than six times. Formula Ford driver Chris Palmer was awarded ‘Driver of the Day’ trophy for his solid performance first time out

The RX250 continues to pull in drivers from different ages & experience levels which is exactly what Ben Hyland, the series organiser, is looking for. “The racing is some of the closest I have ever seen, thanks to the great following of drivers we have but also the equal machinery they are sitting in. It was excellent to see Jamie win his first round of the Challenge, and with 13 of the 18 finalist drivers being within 7 tenths of each other it really was anyone’s race to the line! If you haven’t yet tried the 250 then Rowrah is the place to start”

You can register for the UK’s fastest arrive and drive series online at www.rx250challenge.com or call Ben Hyland on 07779 305353
