World Karting Champion Oliver Oakes Agrees to Karting1 Interview. What Would You Ask him?

We just got word from world karting Champion that he’s happy to do an interview with Karting1 when he gets back from Germany, so if you would like us to ask any specific kart racing related questions to him you can let us know here, just add comments We like to ask these guys questions specific to kart driving technique so that you can take what they say and go try it for yourself!
Oliver won the 2005 Formula A karting world title for Gillard and is currently competing in Formula BMW. have a look at the Oli Oakes website

    1. How did you raise the money to compete in such a high level?

    2. Do you find women flirt with you more because you’re a race driver?

    3. What is your view on women race drivers in karts/nascar/or open wheel racing cars? What disadvantages and advantages do YOU think they have?

    4. Imagine you’re starting a kart race at the back of the grid in say 20th place how do you manage to overtake as many people as possible in 8 laps without knocking them all off?

    5. Do you think psycological warfare on the track is important? Especially in karting?

    1. How much do you attribute your karting success to the Gillard chassis? Do you think that the chassis makes a big difference, or is it the team and the set up? Could you have done it on another chassis?

    2. You were quick immediately in FBMW in your first race this year. How much of that do you owe to your karting experience. What specific experience is directly translatable from karting to cars?

    I actually wanted to know as to how to get in the right frame of mind before going to kart.What i mean to say is that i always hve a problem that is sometimes i am jsut too good and the other times a big flop.I do not understand how to break this inconsistency.I am sure it has something to do with my mind

    I am stuck in a country where there is hardly any karting (around 5 races a year).
    Please help me in this issue.
    I do have a chassis and a Rotax engine but without enough finance and a mechanic or a team how do i race abroad?
    How do i go about becoming a good not only good but the best driver ever produced?

    1) how much did the gillard team spend in the world championship weekend on chassis, accomodation, engine rebuilds etc..
    2) what tactics do you use to stay focused when you are out front on your own (or anywhere in the field, just on your own)
    3) do you use the looking forward tecnique that Karting1 teaches or do you have any other ways of being so damn fast!!!
