For years Schumacher has had a semi-official role at TonyKart, but after his retirement from F1 he’s announced his continued involvement in karting by signing a contract with TonyKart as an official test driver.

According to Bild.de he said about becoming a Tonykart test driver “Yes, I signed a contract for work…I love karting, that was always a big thing for me.”

Schumacher has a rich history of involvement in karting. He regularly races at his home track of Kerpen in KZ2 with his kart team KSM, and his last high-profile race was the SKUSA Supernats in 2009. It’s unknown whether Schumacher will compete in any major kart races in the near future.
