Update – Schumacher to Compete at KF1 World Championships?

By news ~ September 6th, 2007. Filed under: Kart Racing News.

The rumour has been hot since early this year, but according to Eurosport, the Michael Schumacher will compete at this years CIK KF1 World Karting Championship at Mariembourg in Belguim.

He had participated in a few early KF1 tests in Italy with the TonyKart/Vortex team, so it doesn’t come as a big surprise.

The TonyKart/Vortex KF1 package has been unbeatable this year in the European Championships, and they are red hot favourites to take the title. So it seems Schumacher will no doubt, with this package, actually have a decent shot of winning.

However, the CIK’s entry list has still yet to confirm Schumacher’s presence in the championship.

The CIK have released their usual preview of each official race and it does not confirm at all Schumacher’s rumoured late entry. There is a historic demonstration of karts during the event, and there could be a slight possibility this might include Schumacher’s involvement, but this is not confirmed.
