Oliver Rowland: I’ll Race F1 Drivers Like Anyone Else
By Karting1 ~ August 31st, 2009. Filed under: Kart Racing News.
Speaking to the Karting1.co.uk Podcast karting star Oliver Rowland talked about his preparations for the coming up KZ1 World Cup at Sarno “I did two days at Lonato and two days at Sarno. It’s for sure going to be quite good because in testing we were fast, but I think the racing is a different thing. So you know hopefully l might get used to it fast. A lot of people have said how the racing is actually different and we’ll have to see how it goes.”
How much different is KZ and KF? “Much different. Everything seems to happen about a thousand miles and hour faster. But you know I seem to have adapted quite well. The gear changes are difficult especially on the physical side that’s the main change, but I think we can go forward and do quite well in the championships”
Oliver Rowland still enjoys helping out kart drivers
Approaching racing F1 drivers “Obviously you can talk about it a lot but I see them as anyone else. Go out and race them like anyone else. I think everyone in karting, especially in KZ is good at the moment. Just have to see how it goes”
The CIK KZ1 and KF3 World Cup takes place at Sarno on the 6th September
