Maranello have raised a few eyebrows this week displaying the new RS8 chassis at the Rotax World Finals. Maranello have homologated 3 chassis and it is believed this model is a very experimental concept.

With the 2 other chassis already producing results on the track, this 3rd chassis will allow Maranello Kart the freedom to try new ideas in the homologation period while other manufacturers are limited their current orthodox chassis designs.

The new design features a complete re-working of the front end geometry and style, and a new rear end design.

It is not known whether the new design will be raced straight away. it is suspected that more development would need to be done to bring this up to race speed. We’ll keep and eye out!
