Davide Fore 2006 World Champion?

By Karting1 ~ November 18th, 2006. Filed under: Kart Racing News.

According to Birel.it the 2006 Karting World Champion Antonucci, along with other drivers, has been excluded from the CIK 2006 Karting World Championship. The exclusion seems to be down to changes made by Antonucci on his kart on the grid before the Final at Angerville. Pictures in this months issue of Vroom International Karting Magazine seem to confirm that this did happen. Other drivers involved may include Christodolou, and Thonon.

After the event suspicions were rife as Antonucci seemed to come from absolutely nowhere to take the title. Fore did not take part in the after event team photo and his move to Marenello, also may be a indication of the distaste he felt towards what happened.

This possible decision would make Davide Fore the CIK 2006 World Karting Champion. Now he can be called ‘Four Time’ Fore!

Here is the news release on Birel.it.
