Problem is too many engine configurations. The KF project was a good start, then they screwed it up with super KF and not getting the packages sorted out and reliable. This new 5 speed kart engine will just muddy up the waters even more.
Look to MX as a clue, top level is well defined and not as rules intense as karting. No wonder the turnover rate in karting is so high.

I am from the UK but race shifters on a club circuit here in Brazil, and yes keeping your cool in temps up to 40 c is a bit of a challenge ! However once your body gets used to high temps it does get a little easier to manage. Guys here use simple methods ie after session will put the tea shirt under a cold tap , this certainly helps bring down body temps, unless the female drivers use this method !! then temps usually rise a little, My personal favourite is the Air hose, stick it up the race suit for a few mins before going out. Regards Dave Bates

I met Dan this year a few weeks before the Indy 500, It was at a weekend at the Indy speedway for emerging technologies. The organisers wanted to get some pictures with ourselves and Dan as we one of only two british teams at the event.
I was the only British person there to know exactly who he was! and he was so taken a back when i walked up to him shook his hand and told him how much of a fan I was. I couldnt believe the smiling response i got from the guy, so very polite and friendly.
We stood and talked for a good 10 minutes about what he was doing at the moment and his build up for the Indy 500. I've never EVER met a racing driver with the same attitude towards the fans and being just like the guy next door. Dan was a brilliant driver and an absolutely top bloke. I will treasure the picture i have with him, when it finally gets sent to me!
Dan you will be very sorely missed, a fantastic talent but even more so a fantastic person. RIP my friend!

Your kart was clearly going better throught the bumps than mine, I will share my onboard video later, it is shaking far more on the new part. Weight difference maybe? (we are over 180kg). You were running a soft axle?
