Mychron4 Hints and Tips and Race Studio Tutorials

By Karting1 ~ September 26th, 2008. Filed under: Ask the Karting Coach Answers.

Once you are a pretty competent driver there are still huge amounts of time to find using data logging. I use Mychron4 because its easy to use and not stupidly expensive, plus loads of karters already have the base unit MyChron 4. All you have to do is then plug in the GPS unit and you are away collecting quality data from your kart.

I’ve put together a new site packed full of Mychron4 tips and tutorials so that you can get up to speed with using the software to start flying! So far with the work I’ve done with karters we’ve been consistently on lap record pace, on tyres and engines that were never supposed to be that quick.

We are only scratching the surface with this, and the data I have so far tells me that even the quick lads are driving round half a second off the ultimate pace… at least.

We’ve also done some nice Mychron Race Studio Analysis Tutorials on YouTube which should make learning the software much easier. It took us a while to get it sussed, I hope it takes you a lot less time
