News of the next round of RX250 Challenge is announced this week with the fabulous setting of Whilton Mill confirmed for Sunday October 11th.
A full fleet of Sodi RX250 karts, race prepared and set to an identical 22 horse power will be in use all day for practice sessions in the morning then followed by Sprint and Team Endurance racing. All experienced drivers over the age of 16 are welcome to practice or race. Racers must participate in at least one 15 minute practice session, these will be run between 9am and 11am and cost just £20.
The Sprint will follow with the popular format of a 10 minute qualifying period then two heat races of 15 minutes each, with a reverse grid for Race 2 making this a little more interesting. Top drivers will go through to a trophy Final. Sprints cost just £85 per driver offering remarkable value on this pedigree of kart.
The team event will no doubt be a firm favourite with endurance drivers, with 30 minutes of timed practice/qualifying and then a gruelling 2.5 hour race. Not for the faint hearted, these are the quickest rental karts you can drive so demanding on the body and brain.
“We have a nice mixture of formats for drivers at Whilton Mill in October, testing the kart there went really well and Dan Parker was extremely impressed..hence we got asked to run an event this year!” Explains Ben Hyland, from RX250 Challenge. “The karts have performed faultlessly at all rounds and we expect nothing less from them this time with laps times separated by the skill of the driver and not the kart as seen at typical rental kart events. If you have always wanted a go on a high performance kart then jump online and register today – you will not be disappointed.”
You can register for the UK’s fastest arrive and drive series online at www.rx250challenge.com or call Ben Hyland on 07779 305353
