A new high performance karting race series has officially been launched today in the UK. Targeting the serious rental kart racer, the RX250 Challenge uses a fleet of brand new Sodi RX250 karts.
Events will be for teams and individuals, with drivers able to gain points for the Sodi World Series (SWS) as the two partner series sit side by side in the UK.
Racers can experience real power and control from the revolutionary new 4 stroke engine and race chassis that has been developed by Sodi, the World’s leading kart manufacturer. RX250 Challenge proves to be the fastest, most exhilarating and reliable series in the UK. The 250cc 4 stroke engines are fuel injected, with switchable ECU and power output from 15, 22 and 28 horse power. The RX250 Challenge karts will be run at the middle setting of 28 horse power, which are more than capable of testing even the most competent drivers.
Sodi kart are renowned for their professionalism and R&D excellence, coupled with a reliable 4 stroke engine with high revs and power output the RX250 challenge organiser has high hopes for 2009 and beyond.
“We have been fortunate enough to get the first fleet of RX250 karts in the UK. They really look the business and are a very well made product. “ Explains Ben Hyland “We are confident that this series has great future potential, no frustration of setting carbs or unreliable 2-strokes making it ideal for drivers to turn up and experience high performance rental kart racing then return home safely at the end of the day. People don’t have the time or budget to go full blown racing any longer, do they? What we can offer is fast, close and controlled racing at realistic prices.”
RX250 Challenge events will also count towards SWS points, where World-wide rental drivers are brought together by official partner circuits and events, with the top drivers being invited to the World Final by Sodi each year. There are already 1400 entrants signed up.
