Alex Gill follows in Jenson Buttons’ footsteps

By news ~ October 22nd, 2009. Filed under: Announcements.

Wright Karts would like to congratulate Alex Gill on his superb Super 1 series championship win in the Cadet class. 12 Finals, 9 Podiums and 7 Final victories.

This achievement mirrors the success that Jenson Button achieved with Wright karts in 1991 when he won the Cadet championship (Winning 34 finals in a row that year). Jenson continued his partnership with Wright Karts for 4 more years winning the Junior UK (TKM) championship title and “O” plate twice along the way.

Alex has had a superb year with Wright Karts, winning the Super 1 championship, 3rd in the Formula Kart Stars championship, 3rd at the GP Masters (PFI) and 5th at the Cadet “O” plate (Forest Edge).

Alex will continue his partnership with Wright Karts in 2010, when he will be participating in the heavily contested KF3 class. We look forward to this new challenge with Alex and anticipate further success with the youngster.

Once again congratulations to Alex, Steve (Dad) and Denise (Mum).
