Goodwood, Chichester, West Sussex
Teams of four will race the classic Goodwood circuit – driving the same track as the heroes of yesteryear. The Goodwood circuit was the scene of legendary battles between great motor sport heroes from 1948 through to 1966.
Each team will receive their own pedal kart (with their team name on the number plates) which they are free to decorate with team logos. The race will be a relay with each of the four team members completing a lap (2.4 miles) of the Goodwood circuit. The kart can be retained after the event or donated to the charity.
Despite a very challenging start to the karting year, due in parts to the hard economic climate and drivers/and driver’s sponsors (ie the bank of mum and dad) many drivers left it late in committing or unable to commit to as many club championships as in previous years.
