Just when the karting governing bodies thought they had finally got rid of 100cc, it now appears there are moves afoot to keep the 100cc alive in the UK. A petition, headed by Paul Fletcher, and Dave Bewley has been circulating at the MSA British Kart Championship proposing to re-introduce 100cc karting for 2008.

Karting, in the UK especially, has been in some serious trouble for a few years now. Most recently the MBKC have ceased racing at the GYG circuit due to lack of entries. Motorsport News catch phrased the current problem as ‘Karting In Crisis’.
