KF3
John Norris, and Mackenzie Taylor headed the front row of the bumper
field of KF3 karts. But it was third place driver Rikki Gordon who
jumped into the lead after a fantastic start. Mackenzie Taylor slotted
into second in front of Norris, and started to chase down the race
leader Gordon. Ashley Sutton sat in fourth place and soon deposed
pole man Norris for third.

Mackenzie Taylor once again took victory
in KF3
The gap stayed constant at around .5 of a second until lap 7 where
Gordon disappeared at Wilkins out of the lead. Mackenzie gratefully
took the lead with Norris slotting into second.
Norris started coming under some serious pressure from Sutton,
and was down to third place by lap 10. Norris fought back and regained
his place, and that’s how it stayed until the chequered flag.
Mackenzie has now made it two out of two final wins in the Winter
Series.

KF2
The start of the KF2 final was red flagged due to what appeared
to be some questionable warm up laps of the 22-kart field.

The KF2 field needed a talking to before
the re-start
The race got under way with first round winner Robert Foster-Jones
on pole, and James Abraham sitting in second beside him. Craig Breene
soon slotted into second after Café corner, with Abraham
down to third.
Grid 4 driver Mark Balmer was pushed wide out of Café and
lost several positions at the start. He can count himself unlucky
after showing some great speed in the heats.

Mark Balmer was unlucky in the final
By lap 7, Breene was out of second, and down to fifth after an
incident in Bruno Chicane that saw him go wide and lose momentum.
Abraham was now in second, and Jordon Chamberlain was in third.
However, Abraham disappeared from the race, and Greg Harper made
his way into third place behind Chamberlain, with Foster-Jones comfortably
in the lead.
Foster-Jones took the flag, and like Mackenzie Taylor in KF3, has
a 100% final win record in the Winter Series.

KF1
Only 13 KF1 karts lined up for the KF1 final, and double-heat winner
Mark Litchfield headed the front row. Continually impressive Jordan
Lennox-Lamb lined up in second, and Jonathon Walker lay in third.
At the start Litchfield took control instantly and by the first
hairpin already enjoyed a few tenths advantage over the rest. Lennox-Lamb
unfortunately disappeared from the front of the field and fell back.

Lost places at the start of the final
meant Lennox-Lamb was out of the hunt
At the end of lap 1, Litchfield led from Jonathon Walker with Shaun
Carter in third. It was clear to see that Litchfield was in a league
of his own, and he steadily pulled away from the chasing group.
It was now a battle for second place for everybody else!
There was a frantic battle between Walker, Charles Bonsey, and
Carter by lap 3 for second place. By lap 5, Elliot Burton had joined
the party, and looked like he could grab second place. Everyone
was trading positions into the hairpin, and Wilkins corner. Finally
the chequered flag came and Bonsey snatched second from Burton.
Burton wins his first podium in KF1
Mark Litchfield appeared to have missed the chequered as he stayed
out for another lap, or was it a victory lap? He had won by around
5 seconds, and kept his 100% win record in the Winter Series after
all.
