MiniMax
A red flag at the first start delayed proceedings
for the MiniMax final. At the restart it was pole man Jack Barlow
who maintained the lead from Harrison Scott and Harry Crawley. Early
on there was a train of around 10 karts at the front. It appeared
no one wanted to make a move and lose time but the race soon started
to fan out as drivers started making their moves.

Harrison Scott in MiniMax ready for a race restart
Barlow looked too strong at the front and slowly
built a lead from Crawley and Scott. With 1 minute to go however
Barlow's two second strong advantage suddenly halved as a dodgy
lap saw Barlow nearly get caught. However his time loss was just
a mistake, and nothing more which meant he could maintain the lead
and take victory from Crawley and Scott.

WTP
Unlike the Comers the WTP race was a little more
of a mental game than a frantic battle. It was Bradley Shaw and
Hannah Pym who made the early break from the WTP pack. After a couple
of laps it was clear that either of these two were going to be taking
the glory at this year's Kartmasters GP.

Hannah Pym was a crowd favourite as she finished 2nd
Lap after lap Shaw tried valiantly to build a gap
from Pym but it was a close fought battle as the pair traded fast
laps. With 1 more lap to go Pym decided she wanted to make her move
and she overtook Shaw at the first hairpin. But Shaw knew he couldn't
afford to be behind for long and quickly found his way back through
at the chicane.

Bradley Shaw defended excellently to take WTP win
Shaw then continued to defend strongly, and Pym
couldn't find a way through. Shaw took the win from a very popular
second for Hannah Pym and Aaron Coleman in third.

2. Hannah Pym - WTP
3. Aaron Coleman - WTP
Comer Cadet
Matthew Graham, who was also competing in the WTP
class at Kartmasters, was the man to take the early lead in the
GP Grand Final. Wright Kart's Alex Gill with Josh White led the
charge to chase down Graham, and as with Cadets once drivers pair
off, catching a sole kart is fairly simple. Within a few laps White
and Gill found their way through the second hairpin which allowed
'O' Plate Winner George Russell to join the action.

Alex Gill gets another good result in what is turning
out to be a great year for him
Graham now in third then attacked Gill for second
place. Russell followed Graham through and it appeared these two
worked together well and they soon demoted White to third. With
Gill, and White fading in the later stages it was a two way fight
for victory between Graham and Russell.

Intense battle between George 'Shake and Bake' Russell
and Matthew Graham in the Comer Cadet Final
Into the last lap Graham defended hard, however
on the exit of the second hairpin he allowed Russell to get a cut
back. Russell suddenly found himself in the lead, and with half
a lap to go only a major mistake would see him lose the victory.
At the line Russell took a superb win from Matthew Graham and then
Alex Gill in third.

2. Matthew Graham - Zip/Comer
3. Alex Gill - Wright/Comer
