|
|
| I just bought a clutched TKM engine, and am hoping to go out of Sunday, but I noticed the clutch drum (the bit with the sprocket on) is quite wobbly. I assume it's not meant to wobble as that would damage the chain/sprocket. I can't take the clutch off yet though as I don't have the clutch holding tool or clutch puller. It's possible I could get those tools on sunday at the track, but that's leaving it abit late. Would there be any parts of the clutch that need replacing or is it just something needing tightening? |

| Go to the tdlko website and look at the diagram for the clutch assy. Print off and take to the track with you. Daft question but shouldn't you be discussing this with who you got the motor off? |

Yes it is meant to wobble when the engine is not running, it all tightens up when the clutch is engaged.

Ah I thought it was only meant to wobble rotationally, not forwards and backwards, explains it, thanks |

it needs to move forwards and backwards about 1-2 mm on the shaft as it allows it to expand when the engine gets hot during running.

| Another question, about the killswitch, can it just be any toggle switch or does it have to be a specific switch, or have a high amp rating? |
