“Back” where, Chuck? Link(s) please as Google was no help to me with this one.
If they are indeed doing a relaunch, they’re going about it in an awfully quiet way. Not even any mention on their website.
Incidentally, Felix wouldn’t be too happy about what you did to his name, Chuck. |

Err, that’s ‘grammar’ Chuck, not ‘grammer. And Felix’ last name in the thread heading needs another edit, too.
And some of us aren’t on that ‘facebook’ thing. Would you mind posting pics and details here? |

I gave up on spelling and "grammer" on my smartphone years ago. Anyway....

OK, Chuck, time for more info!
Someone on the German karting forum pointed to this: http://www.italiankart.it/m1858-saetta-wankel-k60cv.html
What’s the real story on this, I wonder.
By the way, we’ve encountered the odd standard Saetta with us on track. They’re fast but very noisy. |

Hi Guys i have done this with THE Aixro 5 years ago on testing on powerbench i had 72 pk
1carb 22mm was running the first inlet
2carb 30mm was direct on the second inlet with no restrictor
Not normal THE response of that engine but i never tested it on à Track
May be i should do that !!!

Wow! (pk is the same as cv, hp, ps, etc.)
Imagine if the Aixro had direct electronic fuel injection. 72hp is a bit much perhaps, but a steady, all weather 60hp would be nice |

The very first design was with two carburettors. That's why the threads in the side plate and on the restrictor, which now hold the inlet manifold, will fit for two diaphragm carbs. Works if you get the setting of BOTH carbs right, but good luck doing that for the complete rpm spectrum.
That's why we went to a single float carb and the split manifold. Works fine, and it's much easier to handle.
Poul
PS: The engine shown is 2nd hand, but if Saetta should really be back I would appreciate if you let me know. Many thanks! |

Looks like they pulled the engine out of this project: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDptlPPAwx4
Can we have fuel injection and turbochargers then, please? But keep it simple, too. |

I REALLY like my Aixro the way it is, but I wouldn't say no to extra horses
FI would by mega also!
The Aixro is everything I ever wanted in a kart engine and more, that is very powerful, reliable, long (very!) service interval, and unexpectedly smooooth (unlike a 2 stroke!), amazingly light and compact for the power. It's a little beast. |

Will variable vane do for you
FI would be slick; turbo would be , it feels like turbo as it is! |
