Hi All,
We made a thread a little while ago about starting a new Budget GX200 Sealed Class @ Caxton Kart Circuit.
Well, we have changed plans and Stretton Kart Circuit in Leicestershire will now be hosting the championship.
The basic spec:
Sealed GX200 Engine - 14/15Hp & Rpm's restricted to 7000-7500rpm.
All engines sealed on Crankcase Cover & Cylinder Head, to keep each engine identical. Engine rebuilds once a Season at a cost of around £100-£150.00.
Chassis choice is open.
Tyres is still a bit undecided as of yet, we're thinking possibly open Vega's.
We shall have a Junior Age group (12-16) & a Senior Group (17+). Both groups will run together in a mixed grid, and the weight difference will be equalled out by the juniors being restricted on Gearing.
The class will run behind Strettons current Open class.
The Entry fee for the day is £35.00 and you will need a transponder for lap times etc. If you don't have one they are available from the circuit for £5.00 for the day.
The first race will be around April/May time to give all racers a chance to get use to the engine & Setups. Hopefully it will have warmed up a bit by then too. The series will run once a month up untill decemeber, then we'll have a full season next year.
Engine's will be available at £600 without clutch, or £650 with clutch.
The engines will also meet Redlodge Clubpro Rules so can be raced in their class as well as many other open classes.
The idea is to be a Fun, Fair & Competitive way of racing on a low budget.

The first race day is set for the 13th May 2012.
