How bumpy is WM comparing to PFI new layout?
BTW, have they sorted the bumps at PFi? |
PFi extension is bumpier. It has more severe bumps, but AFAIK fletcher is on it. He's the kind of guy that won't stop until it's right. _________________ Karting1.co.uk - Karting1 Twitter - Karting1 Facebook |

It very much depends on the track. Whilton has a lot of fiddly corners in the infield sections so a good time there is more about handling than power.
From the perspective of an average-to-weak driver [i.e. me], I reckon that the AIXRO is between 2 and 3 seconds a lap quicker around Rye House than a Max. A good time for me around Rye on a warm day is a high 35, low 36. When I tested the AIXRO there last December [when the ambient was -4C !] I was in the low 34s straight away. Given the temperature and the fact I wasn't familiar with the front braking... I reckon I could have found at least another second on that.
I think Alan's right. A really good driver and a well set up chassis would likely be below 43 seconds in the AIXRO even around Whilton. _________________ Keep the dream alive |

@Kai, Maybe I will come racing. Just need to plan few things before confirming.
@Alan, thanks for the update. Knowing the PFI standards, I indeed think they will sort it at some point. Just hope before our race there next year because with the Dunlop side wall we have, this is not fun. How is your wrist healing? |

See you there, Jurgen! I shall be gracing the back of the grid. However, I might not even get there in time for some Saturday practice. Hopefully a bit in the afternoon, but I may just have to ‘learn’ the track on race day.
What’s the gearing? I hear about the same as PFi? Which track configuration will they be using? |

I’ll be able to get some practice on Saturday afternoon after all: always good to know at least which way around the track goes.
I have been advised, incidentally, that it will be the 1300m ‘Grand Prix’ layout:
It’s presumably not too late to enter, if anyone else fancies it. Note this also applies to VT250 drivers – the classes practice together but race separately. |
