OK, so I may not have been able to go racing this weekend, but I did find time to finally fit the 'go-faster' sticker kit supplied by KartDavid:

Gotta be worth a second or more, no?

To get the full effect you need matching overalls so I'd say 1/2 a second tops.
Sorry you you missed 3 Sisters. I did not race but it looked like good fun. Seemed to suit the Aixro.

Oh, gosh darn, you’re right! And the helmet paint job, too.

Yep, frustrating to have missed 3S, but for good reason, unfortunately.

To think what a smart addition my new-look kart would have made to Mr T’s upcoming photo album (?), lack of coordinated suit and helmet notwithstanding.

Plans for a strong contingent of UK drivers doing a Benelux round this year are very much gathering pace, by the way. Speak with Richard if interested.

Very nice. If I see correctly you put a CRG body work on your kart, it is fast one, ask Jurgen who won last weekend at 3s - Congrats Jurgen! But also to Bjorn, they were both very close together all weekend in their own world.
Where are my videos? Well I am an @\!{} as I forgot the camera... I am even more gutted knowing that we (Jurgen, Bjorn, Kris and I) went to Hooton park the day after the race. We all agreed it is a beautiful track to drive, nice experience. See you at PFI in September!

Well, the plastic has the rather grandiose name of ‘New Age II', which I don’t think is particular to just CRG. Energy and others use it, too.
But I’m glad to have it confirmed that it will make me faster, together, of course, with the snazzy sticker kit. The front-end stickers are one hell of job to fit, by the way. Lots of patience needed.

PS: Yes, I have already been chastised for not fitting the nassau panel quite correctly; it will fully meet the bumper by the time any next photos are taken.

Nah, a new (SH) chassis will be a winter ‘project’.
I just got tired of the previous ‘look’ and, besides, the “Stilo” plastic it uses is not as good - mainly the side pods.
So for the cost of some plastic and vinyl I have myself a “new” – and of course faster – kart.

Will we see you at any of the prior practice meetings? I couldn’t make it today – obviously – but expect to do 12 Sept.

Russia, eh? Only stopped over in Moscow once many years ago, still in the commie era with the infinite drabness that meant. Presume it’s the Wild East now?

I prefer your new look over the SLR.

Ill try to do 9th sep at PFI.

Moscow changes every time I go. It was my seventh visit in the last 8 years. It's an expensive city, london levels of cost. It's still Russia (grumpy faces!), but increasingly glossy on the surface.

I like the look of this sticker kit:

Yeah, I’ve seen a kart with a sticker set like that one: looked really good. Plus there is obviously a benefit in keeping it as dark/black as possible.

Mind you, I’d ask KartDavid to customise that set a bit by removing the brand names on there (especially the cancer sticks) and replacing them with something that has meaning to me / relates to the kart.
That’s the thing, people, if you’re going replace sticker sets, don’t be boring and go with the usual; get KartDavid or A N Other to customise!

…ahhh, good to be discussing the really important aspects of karting, isn’t it?

Hi Kai,

I hear you on the cancer sticks, but jps is special for me from the Senna Lotus days Very Happy and as you say, black has it's advantages!
A set of black Birel bodywork might be in order, wonder if kartdavid offer a fitting service? Wink

Current F1 is fun again but kinda like Scalextric/TCR what with DRS and KERS.

I use my kart so little it's frustrating. Need a kart track in the garden!

In keeping with the maxim that looks are everything, and also in answer to Monsieur Boone’s recent chastisement concerning a lack of colour-coordination, here’s my new kart look for 2012 completed:

Unfortunately, it made me anything but faster while racing this past weekend at Llandow*, but – dare I say – that may have been down to the driver.

*Race photos and video to follow
