As much as I find F1 so boring I nearly fall asleep I still get up at 3am just to watch the racing!
Lewis Hamilton is the obvious point of interest. There's no doubt he is good. You have to be special to beat me in Cadets (lol....what???....can't I have a claim to fame!????)...infact that would have meant most Cadets were special...they all beat me....
Anyways, could he win.....??? I reckon there's a strong possibility Alonso might crack under the pressure if Hamilton is quick out of the blocks.... I wouldn't be surprised to see Alonso bin it in quali. He is already probably the no2 at Mclaren. Hamilton will probably be getting cared for better than Alonso at this moment in time!
Ferrari....well Massa was a lucky boy getting to race with Schumacher last year...how much did he learn?????? not to bin it! I reckon he'll be unusually strong for the championship but round 1 at Melbourne he'll get pole, and bin it half way through..... Raikkonen might just bring it home in the top three
BAR - what's the point?
My Top Three -
1. Massa (if he don't bin it)
2. Hamilton
3. Raikkonen _________________ Karting1.co.uk - Karting1 Twitter - Karting1 Facebook |

1 Massa
2 Raikkonen
3 Kubica
4 Trulli
5 Hamilton? |

Just had a look what the bookies say. After all, where the money goes usually provides the most accurate reflection of probabilities:
1) Raikkonen & Massa both priced at 3.25
2) Alonso at 4.33
3) everyone else priced at 17 upward (Hamilton at 17 with Kubica, Kouvalainen and Fisi).
Schumacher or Trulli (both priced at 81) look the most attractive bet to me. You never know whether Toyota might finally pull something out of its (huge money) bag. |

I still think Alonso will be pretty dominant. Don't rule out Webber though. He knows the track well, brought a Minardi home in a silly position and is now in an Adrian Newey designed car with the championship winning engine in the back. _________________

Webber's car always blows up at melbourne,
i think hamilton is going to have a good F1 debut but he is not going to be on the podium unless something drastic happens, don't know what, could be anything,
anyway, there is no doubt he is going to be a strong driver this year, but his lack of experience may hinder him slightly, b
but because i'm british, i want to see him do well,
Button, will probably qualify well but then go backwards like usual, unless its wet, then he might get another win. _________________ Ayrton Senna - "You will never know the feeling of a driver when winning a race. The helmet hides feelings that cannot be understood"

If Button wants to do well he should get some driver coaching. He's is way to smooth. he needs to learn to discover the limits of the grip available to him rather than constantly driving within the limits just to suit his style! _________________ Karting1.co.uk - Karting1 Twitter - Karting1 Facebook |

Alan, weren't you saying that you were the one at the back of the pack in cadets. And now you're the one who's a kart coach? And are you suggesting that button needs help from you?
Jokes Alan. No offense intended. |

am not the driver coach, my brother is!......
Anyway, how many Champions Leagues has Mourinho won was a player. .....none.......Infact he was only ever an unsuccessful club play. To Quote wikipedia
"Mourinho's playing career consisted of a few generally unsuccessful spells at small clubs. His clear aptitude was his impressive managing and organisational ability and from an early age he prepared match reports and dossiers for his father's teams. He also has a degree in Physical Education, specialising in sports methodology and worked as a high school coach."
Quite similar to myself really.... To be able to look, understand, and expand ideas doesn't necessarily mean you have to have the physical skill to do it just an understanding and knowledge. _________________ Karting1.co.uk - Karting1 Twitter - Karting1 Facebook |

I have money on it too. 20 bucks down, 1000 bucks to win. So no loss really. And yeah, Alan, I know what you're saying, I was teasing you. But I don't like Mourinho anyways, I'm more of a Manchester supporter here in Canada... |

I hope that my Kubica and Kimi 1-2.
From this weekend this is how I see it:
1. Ferrari-Mclaren at the top.
2. Renault-BMW fighting for 3rd. (I hope BMW will fight for race wins a lot now too though. Maybe they can still be at the top...)
3. Williams-Red Bull-Toyota-Super Aguri (haha, that makes me chuckle)
4. Honda (Until they can get faster, it's hilariously slow. But they do have the whole world on their shoulders) and maybe Torro Rosso
5. Spyker
I see BMW as a very tactical team. I don't think they have the fastest cars yet. But I believe they can plan some brilliant tactics and get them up onto the podium. And no, I don't think they will lack too much race pace, they're not top yet. Some great tactics can win races though. And that can make up for not having the quickest cars... |
