I presume this is subject to dry conditions: a wet track would be less than ideal for such an occasion.
However, just as Gordon Brown abolished boom and bust, the weather gods appear to have abolished spring-time rain in southern England.
So we’ll have no such impediment and I look forward to seeing lots of the guys there. |

Hi All,
Mike should have emailed everyone to say that all Aixro karts have been invited to Stretton in Leicester Sunday 10th October from 4 - 6pm FOC to show off to the race guys what the karts can do. I will be allowing a number of the regular racers to have a test in one of my karts. PLEASE COME ALONG. |

Been there a few times only drove in to pits at the end of the day once, the track usually breaks the kart... Had:
Wheel fall off
Carb fall off
Track Rods snap
Justin's had:
Wheel fall off
Axle snap
Place likes to hurt karts, I'm glad were only there 2 hours, touch wood, kiss rabbit feet and pray to god that nothing goes wrong this time.
Otherwise the locals are great and Mechanics are heroes, can fix pretty much ANYTHING! One has over 40 years of experience in top level, (Super 1, etc...) karting, done things to fix karts I never thought possible! |

I'll list mine
Axle snapping clean in half
All sorts of brackets breaking
Radiator falling apart causing me to go sideways at 60 mph
Pipes falling off
Engine blow up (through my own fault)
I've raced there 3 times haha and practised a few times. Love it though, If you can find a friendlier place to race karts I'd be interested to visit it
What's the deal with the testing then, I assume we are paying for this? 10 min sessions? sorry for the q's just want a go in one sooo much and don't want to miss it! _________________ #23

Give Richard at AiM a ring - he's sorting it all out
or PM Mike (xratedkarting)
Aixro's are on from 4 - 6
I've chucked mine round there - but only can somewhere like PFI can give you a better idea as to how good a unit the Aixro truly is |

Glenn, I’ve sent you a PM following on from what madkarter3431 rightly says about giving Richard a ring.
I mention that here only because I’ve found the PM system to be quite slow at times, though my message appears to have gone within a few hours – not days as on past occasions – this time. |

Hey kai - how's it going - long time no see
Yes - Richard is best to speak to. He rang me up yesterday and has a growing list of people wanting to go out already
I've been told to pack my kit |

Hi Martyn: fine, thanks, and indeed long time no see.
And yes, I’ve had the same instruction.
Unfortunately, I will have to disobey as I cannot really justify all the way to Stretton and back for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon, much as I’d like the opportunity to you, Glenn and others. It wouldn’t really be an efficient way to spend an expensive weekend’s leave of absence.
Besides, I will be at Kartmania – don’t know yet which day (can let you know) – so maybe that might be an opportunity for a chat.
PS: Glenn, I trust you have prepared yourself thoroughly for what having driven one is going to do to your head afterwards? I dare say you are far too young to already enjoy such pleasures. Personnally I wouldn't allow it for just that reason. |
