Does anybody know what the pop off pressure should be for the Tillotson carb should be? Mine seems to have a great reluctance to start although once it does go, she restarts fine.

Any pointers would be helpful Smile

do u blow fuel through(by undoing small screw top, blowing down breather then tightening screw) or do u let the carb suck it through alone as this can be hard for engine especailly if cold. best way i start is choke on first go(cover airbox) then giv little throttle then turn over on button but not for too many times(5secs max) then take off choke once it fires first with just throttle on next restart!

Yes that's what i do but she refuses to start so i have been removing the plug and dropping 1ml of fuel in, then she fires up immediately and start fine for the rest of the day?

depends what you got carb set at they dont like starting too lean on low jet with or without choke,
does it run ok on track?
u can run 1 turn lean on low jet but it wont start at this you really need 1+1/4 to get them going with little choke.

a lot of other probs would be seen if kart didnt run properly so possibly could just be the plug...have you tried new? or just too lean!?
