hello everyone, I found this site while trying to find a decent rfactor karting mod to try my track out with (still not found a really good one) anyway my only experience of karting has been two visits to the wonderful tilbury kart track so as a learning project for making rfactor tracks I decided to recreate the beautiful Essex venue. The track is not finished in any way and is only set up for 8 karts to race (though with the kerbs as savage as they are racing is not easy) hope you like it and look forward to your opinions.
you can download it from here...... http://rapidshare.com/files/51601816/tilbury_beta_27-08-07.rar.html

wow.... TILBURY I haven't been recently but you have done a really great job! You can definately tell it's Tilbury... all that's missing is some dog turds, a horse, and some kids with catapults
When I loaded it I thought... oh god what is this gonna be like...but wow dude it is really good...well done, and actually its probably one of my fav circuits on the whole of rfactor. nice job _________________ Karting1.co.uk - Karting1 Twitter - Karting1 Facebook |

That's incredible - I can't believe the level of detail you've gone to there.
There are some good suggestions for how to make it more realistic too.
Just to add to those, to really recreate that Tilbury experience, I would suggest that you need to have a gypsy camp in the pits, Jim mowing the infield with grass clippings everywhere (whilst karts are out on the track) and a great big steaming pile of horse poo on the racing line.
Those are my memories of Tilbury, and to be honest - I love the place. |

Can we have the cafe in the back ground with the club house next to it.
Good I have so many good memories of that place, spent many days there when I was meant to be at school
P.S Awesome effort dude, what game is this for?? _________________ "Every day I live with fear but sometimes she lets me race"

I might get back to finishing this off one day, I've learnt to model buildings pretty well now so the cafe and clubhouse would be no problem
The track is for rFactor
