Dose any one not the currect tourk setting for the big nut which holds the fixed plate in the cluch .

Do you know where you can find a deep socket which will fit it? Asked in various tool shops, karting shops and Halfords, none have anything. Had to use a monkey wrench and guess the torque. And when it does eventually come undone, the engine goes into direct drive mode.

I can,t remember what size socket it is as we don't have a clutched motor anymore.

If it's 30mm then spellfame sell them under rotax tool's if not you'll get one on ebay.

its just a normal socket from a socket set but it dose need to be a long one to reach the nut. its a 24mm sized socket. And thanks fr the torqure settings louis

Yeah that was the problem I had after I bought one from B&Q, needs to be very deep.

i got a blue point socket set the 24mm in that dose a boss job.
