A great opening weekend in glorious weather: couldn’t ask for more.
Photos etc to follow.
My take on the new track: so nearly great. If only it could be a little smoother. Especially the turn after the bridge and onto the downhill straight is quite punishing on body and equipment. I’m convinced that’s what eventually did for my axle in the final race.
Also good to see a karting celebrity there: None other than Mr Alan Dove himself! |

Well thankyou Kai
Another axle bites the dust? Weather was incredible too, perfect for karting! Shame I had to go home early on Saturday. i think I cursed everyone at the track. Broken axles, clutches, brakes and engines. _________________ Karting1.co.uk - Karting1 Twitter - Karting1 Facebook |

An enjoyable day. I like the new layout, but the hill and right hander off it is too bumpy. I also felt like it was killing my kart, and me. Hopefully they improve that section of surface.
Antoine, any video links |

Good fun. Now on my way back from France, will upload the videos later on this evening.
It was nice to meet you Alan. What lap times for the twin 100cc? |

The rear brake disk exploded before any times were put down. _________________ Karting1.co.uk - Karting1 Twitter - Karting1 Facebook |

I enjoyed the videos, thanks Antoine. I assume it was Bjorn from Jurgen at the front in the final. Who was driving 39?
I thought the new circuit much more interesting than the old layout even with the bumps though I failed to put in anywhere near a representative lap time with my brief time in the seat. Reminded me how brutal the Aixro power is....

Hi
I cover the PFi ProKart meeting for the four-strokes and took the opportunity to take photos of the Aixro's as well as I have done before. You can see them on www.sprocketphotography.com under the PFi ProKart menu tab at the top.
Hope you enjoy them and apologies for using the wrong form of your name initially. I've always used Aixro in the past but suddenly it became Airox over the weekend.
Best Wishes

Great stuff.
And Andy tells me that he writes race reports for Karting Magazine, where he will also include our PFi racing in the next issue. Thanks in advance.
Tim, sorry you didn’t get an answer earlier. I suppose the results will now soon be up on the AIM Motorsport website, but it was indeed Bjorn ahead of Jurgen.
Incidentally, Simon’s kart (no. 38 ) takes this year’s early prize for best presented. That graphite-effect sticker kit is fantastic. And what an improvement on the standard TonyKart pukey green! |

Aha I do write them and submit them and you can see what I have written on the relevant page of my website www.sprocketphotography.com but it's entirely up to Karting Magazine whether they print it, include photos, or otherwise edit it. Don't want to get your hopes too high: space is limited anyway but watch out for it.

Unfortunately, it turned out that its extra width compared with the Tillett P1 was too much for me to fit in the seat with it.
Funnily enough, however, my body didn’t hurt too much after PFi (having used the Tillett).
But we’ll see you in Lydd anyway, Alex, surely?
Antoine, you may wish to downsize that picture just a teensy weensy bit, smart though you look in it. |

My ribs are killing me on the right side. I won't be at lydd, thought they'd recover by now, but no. |

Here’s the race report in the current (a.k.a. June) edition of Karting Magazine:
As it says, courtesy of Andy Webb, thanks.
I didn’t realise Bjorn even had time to peruse the scenery while leading…
See you guys this weekend. |
