hey just looking into this class and will it be run at club meetings? and whos doing it? will there be a gd grid at s1? any thoughts. o and will be able to run our jnr tkm seeded numbers in it lol is it worth just staying in the normal junior tkm class wit the 3 weights rubbish or even looking at rotax? i hope not cause iv tried a rotax and im trying one again but they seem boring and the power to grip ratio is way out. tkm is much better but i just hope they havent killed juniors with these new class.

i seriously doubt there will be grids for junior extreme at club level in 2008,

will probably be a couple of years before there is enough people wanting to do junior extreme. (if they decide NOT to scrap the whole idea after one year)

Jack. From what i have heard they are not going to be at club meetings. It will be S1 and other big events like the TKM Festival. Dunno about the numbers, i doubt it.

I do not think the three tiers is going to kill Junior TKM. It should be better as it tends to stop the juniors who struggle being overweight in TKM from changing to rotax or another class. Im sure Talko have done a lot of research with the speeds of each tier and i doubt theres much difference between them at all.

thanks! dam i was hopin it wud be at club level.

what are you both doing?

maybe it would be possible to keep one 100cc engine for club level and do juniors and maybe do junior extreme for super one.

Yh thts a gd idea. Talko are selling them mega cheap atm. Im almost certainly doing 142 as i already weight about 137 so am over the 136 min weight already lol.

Possibly also S1 Smile But thats more likely for 09...

i am staying in regular junior for 2008... but if grids of junior extreme appear at club level within 2 years... i.e. before i am forced to move into seniors... then i may change to junior extreme

yer it does look gd it was similar at sheni and thre was a few at whilton too. but the normal junior class should be left alone. why have 3 weights and 3 restrictors!!?? its never going to be compeletly equal espically when everyones looking for that extra tenth in such a close class. one tier will have better bottom end n the lighter one will always be able to brake later etc. i no i will be able to fit all 3 tires so i could try one restrictor with loads of lead and then take the lead off and put a different restrictor on to see which is faster and everyone will be doing this at every track until everyone is on the fastest same one anyway. i just cant see it working in my opinion. why not leave the class alone! its great how it is. jnr extreme does sound good but they cant have both. there just isnt the numbers to split the class into 2! and no one wants to pay the extra money for a new engine or to have a new crank put on for a clutch! grrr tal-ko frustrate me.

oo does anyone no what happened to the new tkm exaughsts as well?

i reli dont want to do rotax but at the moment it does look the safest option as i know i will get a grid and some good racing at every track. i hope tkm will be the same.

Alan Turney's interview on the NatSKA podcast suggested that they scrapped the whole idea, as it only reduced noise by 1 dB.

Are you going to do jnr extreme?
i will probs be keeping a jnr 100cc engine anyway because i do natska so i will be runin it in that

I wna do s1 nxt yr i would probs do it in jnr extreme since im virtually bang on the weight fer it. Its 138 init?????? probs end up not doin it tho because of either money or because my mum iz bein gay nd sez i shud lay off the kartin cz its my GCSE year and it might make me do crap if i dont concentrate on school Sad I really wna know how many people are thinking of doin junior tkm extreme although at first i thought it was a crap idea now that i might be doin it i have changed my mind.

every1 in jnr could just move to that if they arn't happy about the 3 weights in the new jnr and it could just completely replace jnr very much doubt it tho Razz
