Hello,

I've a problem with my Aixro : for the second time, the clutch part in which the bolts with springs are screwed is broken so i've lost one bolt !! I've used this part 4 or 5 times since i bought it a year ago. Clutch discs were changed at the same time. Clutch is working well even if it sticks a little when i slow down to go back to pits.
It may be easier to explain with a picture :

I want to understand what happened twice before buying this part again. Any explanation ?

Thanks for help.

Alain

Hi Alain,

I know that some of the contributors best qualified to help on this are away at a race meeting all of this weekend.

Some helpful replies will no doubt be forthcoming in the course of next week.

i have had many clutches but never had this problem and believe me nobody drives as much as we do with the aixro

some things ar e missing in the picture

the springs in the clutch how far where they turned out if you measure from the top of the spring to the side of the clutch ?

how many hours did it do ?

what type of clutch standard or cintermetal ?

when it happens is it in the dry or in the wet?

Hello Jurgen,

Thanks for answer.

The spring height : 8 or 9 mm (setup from the factory)

Hours : cannot remember exactly, less than ten (i think less than 5)

Standard or cintermetal : i suppose you're talking about discs : it's the reinforced model.

It happened in the dry (never use when wet).

Regards.

Alain

I don't think Alain is in the UK, Jurgen: I seem to recall that he is in France.

See you this weekend!

Jurgen,

I've completely disassembled the clutch a few minutes ago and noticed that the broken part can play a little around the clutch drive hub with toothing(name given to this part in the part list). I don't know if it's normal. Maybe that's enough to break the part...

About the dealer where i bought the engine : let's talk about someone else...
