Tony has decided to keep the current EVRR as it is still performing well. They homolated one called VORTON but I suspect is just to be used as a prototype for future models. Racer EVRR it is.
CRG has nothing major as well, extended homologation for the black star, etc but apart from that nothing new.
At least according to the submissions to CIK.

I am not getting a CRG... I suspect that post wasn't for me. But I agree, no major changes for next year so it is pretty irrelevant performance wise a 2012 or a 2013 kart. The wheel has been invented, there is no Holy Grail!

No worries mate...
For most champioships the chassis needs to be approved by the CIK (Internationa karting commission) CIK regulates major championships and the MSA normally follows rules aligned with CIK.
Any kart manufacturer, if he wants to sell big numbers needs to have their chassis approved / homologated as most championships require homologated chassis.
All chassis have a plate with the homologation number, is the homologation code for the chassis, it has en expiry date on it. Latest homologation is till 2017 so if you see a 2012 chassis the last number should be 17
See below, there is quite a bit of information about this
http://www.cikfia.com/regulations/homologation.html
For club level races it varies, most do not require a new homologation and allow chassis with expired homologation but not many would allow an un homologated chassis.
Chassis homologation costs manufacturers, CIK charges a tidy sum for homologating their chassis.
Hope this helps

| for classes like kf2 kf3 which is what the manufactures race they have to show the CIK the (govening body) what they are going to race. at any race during the year that can check the chassis against the 1 they said they were going to use. kind of a cost cutting measure that doesn't work lol |

You need to check with the club championship rules Ross, most likely is as i said they accept any chassis that has or had been homologated in the past. So for example if you had a 10 year old chassis you could still race.... better check anyday.
This prevents someone welding some tubes and go racing withouth minimal safety tests.
