| Im heavy and I want to know how much a rotax kart weighs, and how much of the weight i can reduce? |

How overweight for your class, are you? Or how much weight are you looking to lose?
Easiest way to reduce weight is removing stuff you might not really need, for example:
No sticker kit on bodywork
Smaller/taller tank to allow you to run less fuel without sucking air
No third bearing
No engine stop
No footrest
No Mychron/Alfano etc
Shortest length bolts you can get away with
Thats the low-cost end of things, after that it gets more expensive:
Magnesium hubs/carriers/engine mount/wheels (if not already fitted)
Carbon exhaust brackets
Carbon floor tray
Carbon seat
Lightweight battery
Alternative brake system (floating disc etc)

i dont know, i dont have scales but im built like a rugby player haha. im not fat but i struggle to fit in XL seats. Just wondering how heavy rotax karts weigh... |

162Kg total weight for senior max (kart & driver)
177Kg total weight for the heavy senior max class (min 85 kg for driver - in full race trim)

yeah the proper kits arent just sticky vynl the thickness of paper, they are quite substantial so they can absorb a hit instead of just tearing

WOW  who would have guessed that, 2kg that makes me smile as it just sounds mad,
lucky for me i have to add 14kg to my kart,

Lots of good advice here, I'm in the same boat weight-wise but with TKM.
Another good way to shed some weight is to work your way around the kart with a Jr hacjsaw and trim off any excess bolt length. Obviously you need to be sensible about it and not render your kart difficult to work on, but there's often more meat on the bone bolt-wise than you really need.
The best solution, though, is to get yourself in an athlete's mindset and hit the gym. I was a BIG guy when I came back to karting last year for the first time in 15yrs. I've lost bout 20kg since then through diet, avoiding booze and hard work in the gym and pool.
Training and weightloss has helped my performance immensely-I'm mentally sharper, my stamina in the kart has vastly improved, the kart handles better and I'm quicker...it's not the answer for everyone (and I still have more to lose to get to my racing weight for TKM) but it's something to consider.
