Surprised no one has made a topic on this.

What do you all think about the entire 177 grid being black flagged at Rye House for kerbing?

Sounds silly to me. let them kerb if they wish too. But they may have seen it as a safety risk and were forced to stop them.

Some people think you need 4 wheels in the white lines, others think as long as 1 is its fine. I think that aswell.

They had someone standing on a kerb to stop people kerbing. so dangerous, what if someone spun and hit him :s

If this is true then this is a major concern. Officials standing on the inside of corners is undeniably dangerous. If I was racing I would have stopped immediately and probably berated the person who allowed this to happen.

I don't necessarily disagree with the decision to exclude drivers who didn't follow warnings. If the stewards say "don't put 4-wheels off the track at that particular corner" and you do, then you can't be surprised to be excluded. Of course if you had not gone over the kerb yet excluded you wouldn't be best pleased.

I find that hard to believe Rolling Eyes way to dangerous they may have had someone at the corner noting who was cutting the curb!

From my stand point as a race Director if your forced into the curb that's one thing but if your cutting across like a dog leg and get more than just 2 wheels across the curbing and it helps you pass someone Evil or Very Mad in my eyes I'll black flag you!! it called cutting the track and it is against the rules.

As for the whole field being DQ'd I say Bravo!!! Sometimes that's what it takes to get the point across!! Confused

Plus hitting the kerbs just kills the chassis !!!! I guess you guys have more money than us !! to buy or straighten the chassis all the time!! Razz
If you need to use the curbs to be fast you ain't that fast.

I agree but people are always going to be pushing to be quicker, and unless they raise the kerbs or something, there is always going to be kerbing.
