|
|
Hey guys,
Recently took my new world formula kart out for a first test run, but i experienced a few problems. The engine wouldn't rev high for me. The rev counter was reading around 3000rpm, but it should rev to around 7k.
My initial diagnosis would be crappy carb setup/ dirty carb or the throttle linkage. I'm am taking it out again tomorrow to try and get the setup right so any help you can give would be appreciated.
Cheers

thanks for the replies....
the engine wasn't new when i bought it, it had been used in 2 races. i cleaned the carb and reajusted the trottle linkage, and still it wasn't revving.
any other ideas? _________________ "The day you stop going for a gap that exists, is the day you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna |

| Insufficient fuel pump output. Borrow one to try so you can eliminate it- you need to do this with the carb also |

| What did you clean out in the carb? Was the float bowl needle ok or worn? |
