5/early 6, I still see some 2 and 3 series go really well though. DD every day so long as you can get yourself going. _________________ #23

I think it depends on the way they're build really, as opposed to X is better than Y). My old 2 series engine was great for top end power, but didn't have much go lower down the rev range, whereas my (current) 6 series has more punch lower down but not as much top end. The barrels were changed at engine no. 6500 to the new CNC machined ones, and some people believe they are faster (personally I've never driven one myself, so I can't comment).
