Just read that they use slide/float carbs rather than butterfly carbs? Is this true?
Now what do I do with my £400 worth of carbs!
This is pants - its just an expensive Rotax engine!
I could bring the whole 100cc debate back in here but better not. |

they use butter fly carbs, but companies have all brought out new carbs for the motors as if think tehy are of a different spec to the 100cc ones.... bot 100% sure on that tho
The KF4 configuration of the engine however uses a float carb. ut at the moment no one even races the KF4 configuration, and I doubt anyone will _________________ Karting1.co.uk - Karting1 Twitter - Karting1 Facebook

So does that mean If I end up getting a KF2 motor I can use my Ibea Carbs I've been using for the past 3 years? |

Article 20-Specific Regulations for KF2
* Homologated butterfly carburettor with a maximum
diameter of 24 mm, comprising two set screws *
So Im assuming that as my Carbs are homologated I can use them, although it doesn't make it clear if any 24mm carb is allowed or 24mm carb designed for the KF series. |

i thinki it has to be from the 2007 - homologation... otherwise we could still race 100cc i wish! lol
best thing to do is to speak to someone at Simon Wright Racing or something like that. _________________ Karting1.co.uk - Karting1 Twitter - Karting1 Facebook |
