definitely, and I have emphasised that in my news article.
but it is massive news because you have a lot of karters who will have to make sure they are eating the right things, and taking the right remedies. _________________ Karting1.co.uk - Karting1 Twitter - Karting1 Facebook |

Although, i expect Mr Rowland would have preferred to win it on the track, rather than inheriting it by default. _________________ Ayrton Senna - "You will never know the feeling of a driver when winning a race. The helmet hides feelings that cannot be understood"

wow, ive never actually heard of a racing driver of any kind taking drugs. i couldnt imagine it would make you faster either, since you'd just be less fearless and would probably crash into the guy you dove down the inside of from too far back. _________________

Well as far as I know Cannabis can stay in the system for a few days after a single hit, and heavy use can stay for around a month after stopping.
Personally I doubt Campo used it to gain an unfair advantage. most probably he was unaware the the CIK enforced these rules on drug taking and the WADA list. _________________ Karting1.co.uk - Karting1 Twitter - Karting1 Facebook |

Yeah, if your racing, I recommend staying away from the drugs, they probably can't give you too much an advantage!! LOL I know I've stayed away for that very reason, I think I've lost enough brain cells from the gasoline and two strokes fumes, so drugs aren't needed _________________ Joey Haynes Rotax Sr.

What performance edge could this bring exactly? HHmm.. | Many keep fit/amature athletes who use canabis anyway(and would never ´damage their bodies´with alchol) will tell you that canabis can be used in training to develope better cardio/vascular. Seemingly it opens the lungs more(ofcourse not used in conjuction with tobacco)
Most likely this guy was having a smoke to relax instead of a beer, or maybe he used it in training. I would be totally amazed if he was under the influence while competing-it would cause a definite negative effect on the track.
I am not a stonner, but i know many surfers , who are in great shape, and dont drink at all but do have a joint. Between them and friends i had in the UK who competed in other sports at high level who also were death on drink but smoked dope i ´learned ´ this. Couldnt be bothered with it myself though-although it seems to be less destructive than alchol.
Sorry for the rant.
I do believe he should get punished to the maximum as kartings foundation is the kids, and canabis is an illegal drug in most countries (never mind in the sport) so it is a terrible example-shame on him. |
