Hi,

I'm looking forward to get a proper steering wheel for PC (tired of using keyboard in LFS Very Happy ) so thinking about G25 but, is it the only option Question Is it worth it?

I've heard some personal experiences and seems to be, but also heard about some reliability problems Confused Is this a common thing between users or is it only a particular case. Also seen another (cheaper)Logitech wheel(Logitech driving force pro or smthing like that) (different gearbox and no clutch pedal) would this one be a better option (enough?) or is it better to save more and go for the G25.

Some info and more personal experiences (esp on reliability) would be highly appreciated Razz

I have a dfp (driving force pro) and I'm very happy with it. I know quite a few people that have the g25 and they say it is the best wheel they have owned and I've not heard of any reliability issues.
What it comes down to in the end is how much your willing to spend, a dfp can be purchased for just £64.95 from here ----> http://www.darkplanets.co.uk/ps2/logitech-driving-force-pro.asp
with the G25 running out at £156.22 from the same site http://www.darkplanets.co.uk/ps2/logitech-g25-steering-wheel.asp

either wheel will improve you immersion levels in the game and both are good purchases.

No question of a doubt, G25 is the wheel to have. The motors are fantastic in replicating forces and provide a great deal of feedback in Live For Speed, you can feel the car understeering away and loading up through a high speed corner. The shifter also works fantastically well with full clutch support so if you want to practice heel and toe its easily done.

Also works very well with the new version of rFactor, a lot more feedback that it used to provide. Also works Fantastically well with Gran Turismo 5 prologue (even though it doesnt have clutch support)

To summarise, if you love your sim racing and your in it for the long run, the extra cost over something like the DFP is highly justified. Ive had the wheel for almost a year now and been using it a lot, touch wood it has been faultless.

I have the Logitech Force feedback MOMO wheel. It's worth it and it's great for rFactor. I bought it cheap in Thailand though Razz saved about $150 AUD lol.
