Find out the massive prize fund on offer with the Biland Super Series

What a 'Proper Driver' Thinks of the Biland First Time Out!

Experienced Karter Phil Gynn bagged the No9 plate in the Super 1 Rotax Champs this year and showed up to test the Biland the same day as us, so we asked him what he thought to it...he was pretty impressed with it!

Here's Phil's own words on the Biland

'I arrived at Whilton Mill without any idea what to expect as I have never driven or sat in anything that isnt a 2-stroke. I have always thought of 4-strokes as being like pro karts - big, heavy, and not very powerful.

But the Biland isnt like that at all! It has a much smoother power band which keeps pulling you up the straight until you brake and then through the corners it was so light and nimble I couldn't really believe it.

The Biland and the Rotax are very similar, but the Biland has a nicer power delivery. Maybe the Biland isnt quite as fast at the end of the straight as the Rotax. Through the corners though the Biland felt so balanced, which I think may be to do with the fact the radiator ison the opposite side to the engine balancing the weight distribution.

All in all i think the test was successful.I will be seriously considering it for 2006. I will not be competing in the Super 1 champioship so I will be doing the Clay Pigeon Kart Club champs on a BRM.'
